<aside> 💡 Analysis - In all of her music videos during the Midnights Era, Taylor physically ascends to a higher position by the end of the MV. I interpret this as ascending being a key theme for Taylor in this era. Given how astronomically famous she has become during this time, it could represent her ambition for fame - being “on top of the world”. It could also represent freedom and expansion, as her ascent in the music videos for Anti-Hero (she ends up on the roof of the house), Bejeweled (once she gets to the top of the building, she moves to the top of a castle) and Lavender Haze (she pushes the walls away and ends up high in the cosmos on a cloud) show her no longer being confined to being inside the building she started in. In the Karma MV, she ascends up into space (similar to the imagery in Lavender Haze) and the final scene shows the camera panning up from the dreamscape, through the clouds and up through the foam of a coffee cup - indicating that this entire dreamscape was confined to the inside of the coffee cup, and that TS11 will be more expansive.
