Gaylors across multiple social media platforms were quick to point out that the song’s title contains the surname of Louisa May Alcott, who has expressed trans and queer sentiments in her art and personal letters.

Read the article below for a summary of Lou’s exploration of their gender and sexuality. I go into a comparison of a few of the key parallels between Alcott & Swift’s expression of queerness.
“Little Women” author Louisa May Alcott was a transgender man
Alcott and Swift both express scepticism of marriage in their art, with Alcott’s scepticism further demonstrated in quotes from her letters about frustrated she is with her marriage-obsessed fans and how she refused to placate them. This parallels Taylor’s lyrics in Lavender Haze as well as her refusal to share with her fans whether she was married or engaged with Joe Alwyn. By breaking up with Joe in the middle of an era and tour, she is also working against pacifying her fans in a similar way to Alcott. Excerpt from article above

Taylor cast Laura Dern as the stepmother in the Bejeweled music video. Dern also happened to play Mrs March in the recent adaptation of Little Women. The character of Mrs March says the following thing about marriage in the novel, eerily similar to what Dern says about marriage in the Bejeweled music video:

It’s important to note that the stepmother in Bejeweled differs from Mrs March significantly though, as she is concerned with getting “many, many jewels” whether Mrs March is not interested in wealth and prioritises helping those less fortunate.
This scene between Jo and Laurie is very similar to the themes in Midnight Rain and even Champagne Problems:
