💡 “Dancing On My Own” by Robyn is widely known as a gay anthem partly because so many LGBTQ+ people can relate to the feeling of being an outsider and using dancing as a tool to process emotions. Taylor could make allusions to this song & it’s themes in the following lyrics: “I’m dancing on my own” - Shake It Off, “I was dancing when the music stopped” - Happiness as well as the lyrics of New Romantics and the concept in the Delicate music video.
