Taylor sang three of her songs that reference the ”line” theme as surprise songs on her Eras show in Sydney on 25/02/24 - “I Wish You Would” (mashup with “Is It Over Now?”), “Haunted” & “Exile”.
Taylor’s use of the term “tightrope” could be a metaphor similar to the one above (walking a fine line aka doing something risky) but could further be analysed as doing something risky in order to entertain society/her fans. It links with the circus theme in that sense.
