<aside> 🎬 The film adaptation, The Little Mermaid, was released in 1989. The lyrics, and a lot of the plot, was written by a gay man called Howard Ashman. The LGBT community have resonated with the struggles expressed in the song “Part Of Your World”, a song that Ashman wrote and fought to be included in the film.
